The 2012 Security 5K/2K was another successful event with record participation and fundraising: over 540 signed up, including over 200 fundraisers, from 40 states and 20 countries. Over 80 signed up for inaugural 2K walk, with over $90,000 raised factoring new child sponsorships on site.

About Mission 500
Mission 500 is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of children and communities in crisis. By using their intimate knowledge of the security industry, they have helped focus industry efforts on sponsoring at least 500 Children in World Vision's program with 100 percent of funds raised going directly to World Vision. Through corporate sponsorships and donors, the volunteer-driven initiative has increased the number of sponsored children to more than 400. The Las Vegas Running Company is a full-service race management company with over 30 years of experience. We stage around 25 road races each year all across Southern Nevada.
